The audio is from the Lakota Values Research Project which was a two-year study that researched and documented tribal belief regarding Lakota leadership and Lakota values, and the relationship between the two. Local people from the Pine Ridge reservation were recruited and trained to go into the communites and interview tribal members in both Lakota and English.
